& I were flooded out; but fortunate. We have relocated and have
put our lives back in order. It can be done with a tear here and
laughter there; but as the future becomes the past always remember what
is most important: Family and Friends; for material things can be replaced.
In
time the aching pains, sore muscles, and sadful tears will be replaced
with precious moments. I can attest to this. We lost our home
in Hurrincane Hugo in South Carolina in 1989. It was family and dear
friends that made those trying times bearable. Comes today:
it again, has been family members and friends like Willie and Iris Crockett
in Onancock, Virginia, our daughter and son-in-law in South Carolina (who
drove up and spent hours & hours cleaning, scrubbing & helping
us move), my husband's father and his wife for their prayers and support,
and our dear & most special friends on the Eastern Shore of Virginia
and in South Carolina who have been here for us from the time we were being
flooding out: these are the precious moments to be remembered: special
is family & friends, everything else is secondary.
Respectfully,
Virginia

Communication
was an extreme problem after Hurricane Hugo hit South Carolina in
September 1989.
This
service was provided in order to facilitate efforts in the private and
public sector during Hurricane Floyd for messages to reach as many people
as possible in the shortest period of time in an emergency situation...
As follows:
You can leave a message for
family or friends. Most motels have computers, schools, libraries, etc.
Stop and ask, "Would you send this E-mail for me to: floyd
@esva.com."
Most people are good hearted
and kind; be there for your neighbor, let family and friends know what's
happening so they don't worry unnecessarily......
If there is an emergency, we will list it. E-mail: emergency@esva.com
Messages have been posted below alphabetically by last name.
Messages updated on a regular
basis.

Hi Wonderwoman
Reply from WESR Radio - Kelley Have faith, my friends in spirit. I just got off the phone with someone who lives 10 minutes from Orlando and he said the worst they got from Floyd was bad wind along the coastal area and high surf at the coast. As far as rain is concerned, he reported only a quarter of an inch total. The storm has passed north

You have probably heard by now as much as I have regarding hurricane floyd's track....it looks like the eye will cross just north of myrtle beach which may be better for your family down there......areas north of the eye will see the strongest winds. the good news is that the storm is not quite at strong as it was.....the bad news is that it is still powerful. I will try to let you know my whereabouts....but ive been floating around the last few days.........from shift to shift......so my schedule is not set in stone. take care
