The Onancock Regatta Choir

The Onancock Regatta Choir was formed for the purpose of participating in the first Eastern Shore Ecumenical Service being held at the closing of the Onancock Regatta Weekend last year.  Instead of disolving, the Choir has played at numerous Church functions and charitable events since its inception last year.  Mrs. Connie Wilson, Ecumenical Choir Pianist, is a wonderful person, full of life, and a true spirit herself and Wade Pennell  is great as he accompanies "Miss Connie" with his guitar.  Don't hand her a sheet of music; God gave her the gift of playing by ear and that, she does with a passion.  Anyone who would like information regarding the Onancock Regatta Choic: Click Here   Choir Director is Yvonne Pennell of Parksley, Virginia, corrdinator is Paulette Allen.

Choir members come to Onancock to practice from Temperanceville, Pungoteague, and in-between, which covers a large portion of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  They are a diversified group who enjoys singing gospel music. Onancock Regatta Choir extends an open invitation to anyone wishing to join in, please do so; it is a wonderful time, full of singing, fellowship and prayer. Current membership consists of participants from St. George Episcopal Church (Pungoteague), Naomia Makemie Presbyterian Church (Onancock), Market Street UM Church (Onancock), Metompkin Baptist Church (Parksley), Bethel AME Church (Onancock), Mt. Nebo Church (near Cashville), Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (Onancock), Bethel Baptist Church (Franktown), St. John's Baptist Church (Onancock), New Testament Church (Deep Creek), Onancock Baptist Church (Onancock), and Mrs. Connie Wilson from Temperanceville, Virginia.
